Frequently asked questions
We understand you may have questions regarding our policies at Paws and Companions. Below are some of the most frequently asked questions to help clarify our guidelines and ensure a smooth experience for you and your furry friends.
What are the requirements for my pet to participate in your services?
To ensure the safety and health of all pets in our care, we require that all pets be up to date on rabies vaccinations, free from contagious illnesses, and have a safe, non-aggressive temperament. Cats must be fully litterbox trained.
Are there any specific policies for puppies?
Yes, puppies must be approximately 6-8 months old and fully potty trained to schedule regular vacation visits. The only exception for underage puppies is if the owners reserve "overnight stays" in addition to two standard visits during the day.
What is your policy on sharing pet care duties with friends or neighbors?
Due to risk of liability, Paws and Companions does not share your personal pet care duties and information with friends, neighbors, etc. If you would like a family member to help out with your pet(s) / home, a "Release of Liability" form must be signed.
How do you ensure secure home access for pet visits?
For home access, we require a garage code, door code, or a lock box with a key. We do not hold client's keys. A key will always remain with the property where the pet(s) is.
What is the main takeaway from your policies?
We understand that your pet (s) are important part of your family. Our goal is to provide your pet(s) with the highest level of care and with total piece of mind.
Thank you for choosing Paws and Companions for all your pets care needs.
Do cats need to be trained for participation?
